A statewide season or game-zone date does not automatically apply to a named Wildlife Management Area. Public-land planning requires one more layer.

SCDNR’s public-lands portal is the best starting point for a named property. The printable WMA maps add boundaries, map IDs, access symbols, and the distinction between named and other WMA land.

Named versus regular WMA land
Specific named WMAs can set their own hunt dates and restrictions. Unnamed WMA tracts are generally organized under the regular WMA framework for their game zone.
No live operational claim
SC Hunt Check does not label a WMA “open” from a static regulation page. Only an official, current property or agency notice can support that status.
