South Carolina bow season: deer archery dates

Bow season depends on the exact Game Zone. Zones 2 and 4 have archery-only periods; archery equipment may also be used during the applicable primitive-weapons and gun-hunt periods.

Source checked September 23, 2026. Official regulations and current property notices control.

Private land only.

Named WMAs can use different dates, methods, hunt days, access procedures, and closures. Do not apply this calendar to a public property without checking its current rule.

Before you hunt

Confirm the zone and the rule

  • Use the official boundary for Oconee, Pickens, and Greenville, which are split between Zones 1 and 2.
  • Check whether the early season is buck-only and whether your antlerless tag is valid on that date.
  • Verify the exact property if you are hunting a WMA, public field, or enrolled quota-deer property.
